Los Angeles Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association

The Los Angeles NECA Chapter represents the interests of union electrical contractors in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, including members in labor relations with IBEW Local Unions #11 (Los Angeles County), #40 (motion picture industry production), and #952 (Ventura County).

LA/NECA is dedicated to serving the electrical contracting industry in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and to improving the quality of electrical service available to American industry and the general public.

LA/NECA serves the industry by providing a wide range of in-depth management and technical services that individual contractors would find well beyond their financial capabilities and business resources. By sharing costs with others through LA/NECA, electrical contractors are able to enjoy a variety of services at substantial savings.

LA/NECA offers contractors the opportunity to have a direct say in the electrical industry and its future. Through the annual conventions, regional meetings, seminars and committee work, LA/NECA members share expertise with their peers while they help plan the future of their industry.

LA/NECA's labor/employee relations assists members with everything from local collective bargaining to individual employee contracts...including advice and assistance on legal aspects of employment, workers' compensation, unemployment benefits, wage and hour compensation, bonuses, hiring practices, etc.

LA/NECA seeks to solve labor/management problems through the activities of its Labor/Management Committee. With the development of innovative procedures, the committee is able to minimize and resolve labor/management disputes in an equitable and timely manner.

Additionally, the Chapter acts as a clearing house for bringing employers and employees, with specialized skills, together.

LA/NECA recognizes the importance of providing meaningful educational programs designed to enhance and expand the skills of its members and their employees. The Chapter offers a continuous program of educational courses covering such topics as estimating, accounting, cash management, sales, personnel, supervision training, inventory control, code, and construction law. Classes are conducted locally by experts in their respective fields.

NECA also offers programs to encourage and prepare minority and female owned contractors.

LA/NECA members may also attend seminars and courses sponsored by National NECA's Management Education Institute. These courses are held in Los Angeles and other locations throughout the country.
