IBEW Local 11



IBEW Local 11 represents over 12,000 members. Created in Los Angeles in 1893, Local 11 has been at the forefront of worker safety and a champion of middle class careers in the region. IBEW Local 11 represents workers who perform installation and construction of electrical work, including radio and other sound and communications installers and technicians, inside wiremen, transportation systems installers and technicians. The Engineers and Architects Association in the City of Los Angeles also recently voted to affiliate with our organization, increasing our membership by 4,600.

Through its partnership with the National Electrical Contractors Association, IBEW Local 11 is at the forefront of leading the electrical industry. It has invested in developing advanced training and professional certifications for emerging technologies and has regularly deployed new technologies at the Los Angeles Electrical Training Institute to serve as a model for the future.
